The IFF OBA team, in cooperation with the representatives from Ministry of Water (MoW) and the Ministry of Finance and Planning (MOFP), carried out a project verification visit to the Morogoro WSSA from 29.08.2022 to 01.09.2022.
The visit was aimed at the verification of output targets, which include (i) Construction of two intakes at BIGWA and BOMELA, (ii) Construction of two (2) sedimentation tanks for BIGWA and BOMELA intakes, 90m3 storage tank, at least 5.2km of transmission main, at least 19km distribution network and 2Nr water kiosk (iii) connection of 600 Nr metered new customers and (iv) a collection efficiency of at least 90% within the entire service area. To date, a total of 752Nr new customers have been connected.
