Improvement Of Water Services in Mlangarini Ward in Arusha

Arusha Water Supply and Sanitation Authority is implementing the IFF project “Improvement Of Water Services in Mlangarini Ward in Arusha”. The project targets to benefit 1200 Nr. new domestic customers and 6 Nr. Kiosk and increase their network distribution coverage and customer revenue base. The project will provide sustainable and reliable water services to customers of Mlangarini who are not currently serviced by Arusha WSSA. 

The project includes the following key components:

1. Pumping mains line from PS - 5 to Moivaro Storage Tank 500m3

• PS5 to proposed Storage Tank 500 CUM: Supply, install, connect, test and operate 2Nr surface pump complete with soft starter control panels each with Discharge of 40L/S, and 150m Total Dynamic Head (TDH)
• Construction of 500m3 water tank at Moivaro Hill

2. Construction of 6 new water kiosks

• Rehabilitation of existing double taps

3. Construction of 2 Brake Pressure Tanks

4. Rehabilitation of existing storage tank of 100m3

5. Installation of 1,313 kms of Pipes (250mm) between from PS-5 to Moivaro 500m3 storage tank and 62,244km distribution pipes from the storage tank

6. Installation of valves and Connection of 1200 new customers
