Procurement of Sewage Exhauster Trucks for Sanitary Purposes in Kahama Town

The Kahama Water Supply and Sanitation Authority completed the IFF project “Procurement of Sewage Exhauster Trucks for Sanitary Purposes in Kahama Town”. The Kahama WSSA provided satisfactory evidence on adherence to Water Sector Development Programme, procurement, technical, financial management, environmental and social standards in line with WSDP regulations. The utility achieved the following output targets;
•    Procurement of 2 Nr. new Sewerage Exhauster Trucks in accordance with set Government regulations.
•    Regular service and maintenance of the 2 Nr. new Sewerage Exhauster Trucks, including the vacuum pump-sets to be   adhered to, as specified in the maintenance schedule provided by the manufacturer / supplier. KUWASA ensures that both trucks contain a regularly updated vehicle log book that record all trips on daily basis.
•    Total of 726 customer trips conducted by both trucks as of October 2022. 
•    Collection efficiency of 93.3% measured for the period of six months.
