The IFF-OBA team in collaboration with the Ministry of Water conducted a Transition Workshop at Morena hotel in Dodoma from 11–12 June 2025 to facilitate a smooth transition into the next phase of the programme. The workshop focused on reflecting on the progress and achievements of Phase 1, sharing lessons learned with key stakeholders, presenting key changes in IFF-OBA 2.0, and identifying priority actions to guide the successful implementation of the next phase.
The workshop was officially opened by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Water, Engineer Mwajuma Waziri, who reaffirmed the government’s commitment to improving the water sector and called for continued collaboration under IFF-OBA 2.0.

Participants included representatives from Water Supply and Sanitation Authorities (WSSAs), partner banks (CRDB, NMB, TIB), and key institutions such as the Ministry of Finance, EWURA, National Water Fund (NWF), Treasury Registrar, Planning Commission and KfW as the development partner. Their joint engagement ensured a collaborative review of Phase 1 and strong preparation for the roll-out of Phase 2.0
