The IFF OBA team, in cooperation with the representatives from Ministry of Water (MoW) carried out a project verification visit to the Tanga WSSA from 16.06-18.06.2025.

The visit aimed at the verification of output targets, which include (i) Supply of 4,000 and Installation of at least 2,000 No. of prepaid water meters within 12 months after signing of project grant agree-ment; (ii) Collection of at least 10% of the total selected customers arrears within 6 months after the meters’ installation;(iii) Daily monitoring and weekly reporting of system alerts for meters mainte-nance and customers behaviour for at least (4) months;(iv) Maintain an overall collection efficiency, excluding arrears, of not less than 90% within the entire service area of Tanga WSSA.
