The team visited the constructed Moivaro storage tank 500m3, Rehabilitated storage tank 100m3 and 4.5km transmission and distribution pipeline constructed.”
The IFF Consultant conducted an interim visit from June 4th to 6th, 2024. The primary objective of this visit was to assess the documentation of financial expenditure and address inconsistencies iden-tified in the interim report. During this period, the team visited an installed LoRaWAN gateway, inter-viewed customers who are disconnected and will be receiving a smart prepaid water meter, and spoke with a plumber trained for the installation of these meters.
The IFF OBA team, in cooperation with the representatives from Ministry of Water (MoW) and the Ministry of Finance (MOF), carried out a project verification visit to the Mtwara WSSA from 25.03.2024 to 28.03.2024.
The IFF-OBA team in collaboration with National Water Fund and ATAWAS organised the workshop “Go with the flow! Cash flow projections and project proposals” from 05.03.2024 to 07.03.2024 at the Maji House in Mwanza region. A total of 50 participants from 13 different WSSAs, representatives from commercial banks, EWURA, Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Water were amongst the audience.

The team visited the constructed four (4) chamber intakes and one (1) collection chamber at Karanga river, installed pump with capacity 160m3/h at 26m Head and transformer, constructed control room and 2.3km transmission pipeline constructed.”
The IFF Consultant conducted an interim visit from 17th – 20th July 2023. The aim of the visit was to assess the documentation of financial expenditure, to clarify some inconsistencies that occurred in the interim report and to assess works progress on site. The team visited one of the eight boreholes, a pump procured under IFF OBA (250m3/hr capacity), the Mangamba treatment plant with the new rapid sand filter and the airport tank under construction (500 m3/hr capacity). The IFF Consultant also visited newly connected customers (domestic and kiosk) in Naliendele area and watched pipes excavation and fitting in Mbae Chundi area.

The IFF-OBA team carried out a project field assessment from 13.02.2023 to 15.02.2023. The ob-jective of this new project is to install 6,000 smart prepaid water meters in Tanga town and ultimately to improve collection efficiency, recover outstanding arrears, reconnect disconnected customers, automatize meter reading/billing and reduce commercial losses. Tanga WSSA is currently piloting this technology (469 smart prepaid water meters installed).
The IFF-OBA team carried out a project field assessment from 01.02.2023 to 03.02.2023. The objective of this new project is to increase the water network in Mlangarini ward and connect 1200 new customers.
The IFF-OBA team carried out a project field assessment from 05.12.2022 to 07.12.2022. The ob-jective of this new project is to improve and extend water supply services at Kingolwira in Morogoro Municipal area in order to meet the increasing water supply demands as well as ensure sustainable water supply services.
